The 1982 uncirculated coin set is presented in a green plastic pouch which includes all six coins from the era and information cards. This coin set includes the commemorative 50 cent coin with the design featuring the XIl Commonwealth Games symbol surrounded by figures representing some sports to be played in the Games. These sports are:- Table Tennis, Australian Rules Football, Archery, Swimming, Athletics, Cycling, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Shooting, Boxing, Lawn Bowls and Badminton.

All the other 5 1982 Australian coins depicts wildlife on the reverse (or tail) are designs by Mr. Stuart Devlin and the Queen's effigy is by Mr. Arnold Machin, R.A.
