2002 Year of the Outback Proof Coin Set
This beautiful Year 2002 Six Coin Proof Set, proudly produced at the Royal Australian Mint- Australia's National Mint - celebrates the unique Australian Outback.
The $1 coin features the official Year of the Outback logo in full colour, while the 50c coin displays that well known Australian icon the once prevalent windmill. The 5c, 1C, 20c and $2 coin, are the original circulating designs and are arranged in the shape of the Southern Cross. Ian Ranke-Broadley's image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of all the coins. All coins in this set are struck to the highest minting quality, with a raised fostered design on a smooth mirror-like background.
